Privacy Policy

This policy describes how personal information is handled in connection with innovabase.online. It is written against the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, because the site is written for readers in Australia, and it describes what actually happens rather than what a website of this kind might do.

1. Who is responsible

Navigorex Group s.r.o. decides what information is handled and why, and is the entity to contact about anything in this policy. Enquiries go to info@innovabase.online or by post to the registered address above.

2. What is collected

The honest answer is: almost nothing, and nothing at all through the site itself.

Information you give us directly: There is no form, no newsletter sign-up, no account, no comment facility and no chat function anywhere on this site. The only way to give us information is to send an email to info@innovabase.online, in which case we hold whatever you chose to put in that message, including your email address.
Cookies and similar technologies: None. The site sets no cookies of its own and permits no third party to set one through it. It uses no local storage, no session storage, no indexed database and no fingerprinting technique. There is no analytics package, no advertising tag and no conversion pixel. The cookie policy covers this in more detail.
Server logs kept by the hosting provider: Like any web server, the machine that serves these pages records ordinary technical information about each request: the IP address the request came from, the user agent string sent by the browser, the URL requested, the response code and the date and time. This happens automatically at the server level and is not something the site's pages cause.
Information from third parties: None. We do not buy, receive or enrich data about visitors from anybody. Where an advertising network pays a commission on a sign-up made through one of our links, what reaches us is a count and an amount, and not the identity of any person.

3. Why each category is handled, and on what basis

Server logs exist so that the site can be kept running and secure: diagnosing errors, identifying abusive traffic such as automated attacks, and understanding the volume a server is handling. They are not used to profile visitors, build audiences or measure marketing, because they are never combined with anything that would identify a person.

Email correspondence is handled for the purpose you sent it for — answering your question, acting on a correction, or dealing with a privacy or rights-holder request. It is not used for marketing, not added to any list, and not sent to anyone else.

Where the law of the European Union applies to Navigorex Group s.r.o. as a company established in the Czech Republic, the legal basis for both categories is legitimate interests: operating and securing a website, and responding to correspondence. No consent basis is relied upon, because nothing here requires consent — there are no cookies to consent to and no tracking to opt out of.

4. How long it is kept

Server logs: retained for up to 30 days, after which they are deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course of the hosting provider's operations. Where a specific log entry forms part of an investigation into a security incident, it may be retained for up to 12 months from the date of that incident, and no longer.
Email correspondence: retained for up to 12 months after the matter it concerns is closed, then deleted. Correspondence that must be kept longer to meet a legal, accounting or tax obligation is kept only for the period that obligation requires.

Nothing else is retained, because nothing else is collected.

5. Who else receives it, and where they are

Two parties, and no others:

The hosting provider operates the server that delivers these pages and necessarily processes the request data described above. It acts on our instructions and does not use that data for its own purposes.

The email provider for the innovabase.online domain stores messages sent to and from the address on this site.

We do not sell personal information, do not disclose it for marketing, and do not share it with advertising networks, data brokers or analytics companies. No third-party script runs on any page of this site, so no other company receives anything when you visit.

Cross-border disclosure — Australian Privacy Principle 8

Navigorex Group s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, and the hosting and email providers used to operate this site are located outside Australia, within the European Economic Area. Handling your information in connection with this site therefore involves disclosure to recipients outside Australia. Personal information may be stored on and accessed from servers located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including by using providers subject to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation. You should be aware that the privacy law of another country will not be identical to Australian law, and that the enforcement options available to you may differ.

6. How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS, so what passes between your browser and the server is encrypted in transit. Administrative access to the server and to the email account is limited to the publisher, protected by strong unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where the provider supports it. The site holds no database of visitors, no account records and no payment information, which removes the largest categories of risk by removing the data itself.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

7. Your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles

You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. In practice, this will generally mean correspondence you have sent us, since that is the only category tied to an identified person.

To make a request, email info@innovabase.online with enough detail for us to find the information. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request. If we refuse access or correction, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, raise it with us first at the address above. If it remains unresolved, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which is the Australian privacy regulator and publishes information about how to lodge a complaint.

8. Notifiable data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose personal information is involved, we will assess it promptly, notify the affected individuals and notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and take steps to contain and remedy it.

9. Children

This site is not directed at people under 16 and is written for adults, including adults setting up games for children in their household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and since the site collects nothing through its pages, there is nothing for a young reader to submit. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, write to info@innovabase.online and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date at the top, and the previous version ceases to apply from that date. Material changes — for example, if the site ever began to collect information it does not collect today — would be described plainly at the top of this page, and any mechanism required for them, such as a consent facility, would be in place before the change took effect rather than afterwards.

Where the European Union General Data Protection Regulation or the United Kingdom GDPR applies to our handling of your personal information, you have the rights to request access to it, to have inaccurate information rectified, to have it erased, to have its processing restricted, to receive it in a portable form where that right applies, and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.

As set out in section 3, the legal basis relied on is legitimate interests: keeping a website operating and secure, and answering correspondence. Since no cookies are set and no tracking takes place, no processing here depends on consent, and there is accordingly no consent to withdraw.
